Band pass filter

Richard Arnold
When operating portable at my favorite park, although I enjoy seeing other hams, it is impossible for me to operate my K1 or KX-1 when other nearby stations are transmitting on adjacent bands due to the interference. I think what I need is a bandpass filter for my rigs, but as yet haven't found one. Any suggestions?

Dick,

I've used the ICE units with good results -

I've been told that the W3NQN filters are even better, but I have no
direct experience with them -

Re: Band pass filter

David Cutter
Both ICE and NQN are good and NQN best but tricky (and expensive) to make
properly.  However, what you really need are QRP filters which should be
very much smaller and lighter than either of the above.  They both weigh a
lot more than your rigs.  Same with coax filters.  If you could convert the
NQN filters to low power you would have a winner.

Find a small ATU with more band stop attenuation.
