Bose noise canceling headphones

Sverre Holm (LA3ZA)
I don't know about the Bose noise cancelling headphones, but with electronics integrated such phones may pick up RFI. I had a pair of noise cancelling  Aiwa headphones, and they picked up a strong buzz whenever I  was transmitting, so the noise cancelling feature  was useless in practice with my K2.

Re: Bose noise canceling headphones

That's another important consideration if you order a pair of Bose phones for a tryout.

I can report that my Sonys we not affected by my 80m CW (QRP) operation during Field Day.  I was also in the midst of 5 QRO operators as well and had no RFI problems from them either.  Maybe I was just far enough away.

No problem with the new QC2's that I have. The QC1s did have an rf
interference problem, though.

Bose noise canceling headphones - another option

Bill N2BC
I don't know the 'street' price of the Bose headphones, but the
suggested retail puts them on a par with a David Clark H10-30 aviation
headset.  Over 20dB of passive quieting and a comm quality microphone.

I've had a set of H10-40's (27dB) for 20 years.   They are indestructible.
