I found I can leave the CM500 phones plugged in rear jack by writing a
simple macro to turn speakers on or off and assigning it to the PF1 key. Email me direct if more info would be useful. ----------------- >Using the headphones from the FP allows for easier access to the headphone jack >when switching between speakers and headset. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

You don't even need a macro ... you can just assign CONFIG:SPKR+PH
menu item to one of the PF buttons (which will act as a toggle). It sounded like the original poster had another mic already plugged into the rear panel input, though, so having he headset plugged into the front probably still makes sense for him. ~iain / N6ML On Thu, Jan 13, 2011 at 8:30 PM, Roger Gagos <[hidden email]> wrote: > I found I can leave the CM500 phones plugged in rear jack by writing a > simple macro to turn speakers on or off and assigning it to the PF1 key. > Email me direct if more info would be useful. > ----------------- >>Using the headphones from the FP allows for easier access to the headphone > jack >>when switching between speakers and headset. > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Or you could just simply assign CONFIG: SPKR+PH to a PF key, it
toggles. Works for me.
