CW QSO's from around the house

I know someone out there has thought of a good solution for what I would like to do.  Want to use my K2 in the shack from anywhere around the house and yard...say within 100 feet.
 
Listening to the receiver and sidetone is no problem with a wireless headphone set.  But, how to key the transmitter with some type of wireless paddle.  Has anyone done this and would like to pass on your approach?  Ideally, at the K2 end of the wireless paddle the device would simply plug into the key jack.

You may want to look into using a computer connection to the K2 and
controlling the K2 over a wireless LAN connection from your laptop computer.
I believe Ham Radio Deluxe provides for control of the K2 and Skype can
carry the audio.  In fact, you can control your K2 from anywhere you have an
internet connection if you want to go that far.  There are also schemes that
use VNC to control the computer that is connected to the K2 - UltraVNC is
available free from www.sourceforge.net.

This was precisely the kind of application I wrote K2 Net for. See
http://www.g4ilo.com/k2net.html (sorry, the website is a mess at the
moment. It's being updated to a more modern design, but I have little time
for hobby activities of any sort at the moment, so it's a slow process.)

The only thing it won't do is let you send CW using a key or paddle. You
have to use the keyboard. Interfacing a key to a computer and then finding
a way to preserve the timing through two copies of multi-tasking Windows
and a network connection is just way too difficult.

When not in sight of the rig, as in the yard, you are probably required to
follow the FCC remote control rules.  Review Part 97 before doing any remote
work.

  I have not found any RF based wireless paddle, but
there are two IR
based wireless devices that could be used to separate
your rig from your
key.

  I would think either of these devices could be
extended to use in a
different room by utilizing a "remote control
extender" type device.  
You would have to be careful about which one you
purchased though, to be
