CW poll

Vic K2VCO
There is a poll at <http://www.arrl.org> asking what percentage of time
we spend operating CW.  So far there are only 3200 votes.  More votes
would make it more interesting!  Please vote (early but not often).

Yes I know it's self-selected and statistically worthless, as well as
being easy to fool into accepting multiple votes.  But it's interesting
anyway.

Tnx Vic!

Egad! The ARRL did this a couple of years ago and I thought the firestorm it
kicked up would never stop! They finally took the poll off-line in the
middle of the run after it appeared that someone set up scripts to vote
automatically and "stuff the ballot box" endlessly!

At this point it's interesting to see that, among those who voted, it's
either CW most or all of the time or CW none of the time. Perhaps those Hams
who do some of both probably don't care to vote <G>.

Oh, well, as one report said some years back, an extensive poll of the USA
showed that 99% of the voters don't care one way or the other about voter
apathy.

Can you be a bit more vague on the URL? I searched the home page and site
map for "poll", and used their search function for "vote", "vote cw",

find the page?

It's on ARRL's home page (http://www.arrl.org).  Scroll down the page
about 50% and on the right side you'll see the box labeled "ARRL Web
Survey".

It took me a while to find, too.  If you search for

I remember that.  Nearly every list I was subscribed to filled with
comments on each side (not all civilized) regardless of the list
subject.  I wonder why they are doing this again, given that the results
are worthless, even without the "Chicago Voting Protocol?"

SORRY!  I read the rest of incoming mail and found out where it was!
Thier website is VERY cluttered!
Yes I did vote!  We almost need to "pack the ballot box" so the ARRL gang doesn't go along with the
rabid
"no code" bunch!  Remember what happened to the MARS system!  They simply banned its use!
