Web site.  This it is no longer available here.  We're looking

The way I did it was to point at the link on that site and right click, save
target as...and put it in a convenient file.  When it has downloaded, it can
then be  played back.  I haven't listened to all of it but it's good so far.

If the material is basically just speech, you should be able to
drastically reduce the MP3 bit rate, possibly down to as little as
32Kb/s, or your could use GSM coding at 13.6kb/s.  This assumes that it
isn't already low bit rate.

Another tactic that might help, if available, is to set HTTP caching
headers on the server to try and minimise the number of cache misses
that actually require the file to be fetched (most web designers seem to
go out of their way to frustrate caching, but this will be a case where
the material should never change).
