I've read it's possible to build a KPA100 into an EC2. Has anyone documented
how they've done this at a website somewhere? Do you lose any functionality by doing this rather than having it built into the K2? Can you build it into the same enclosure as a KAT100-2? It would seem to be nice to have a KAT2 in a K2 for QRP but have the KAT100-2/KPA100 in a base station chassis. Is that possible? 73 jim ab3cv _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Jim,
My KPA100 is the mounted as the top cover for my KAT100-2 in an EC2. It is very easy to do and works well. All of the connections that would be made between the KPA100 and the K2 are present in the KAT100, almost as though it was designed to be configured this way. Your K2 will need a KIO2 module, and a you will need to make a short BNC to BNC coax cable to connect the K2 ANTENNTA output to the RF IN on the KPA100/KAT100-2 combination. Here is a website that documents the procedure: http://www.kk7p.com/k2kpa100.html 73 de Mike, N0SO -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Jim Miller Sent: Sunday, January 07, 2007 11:03 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] External KPA100?
