External KPA100?

I've read it's possible to build a KPA100 into an EC2. Has anyone documented
how they've done this at a website somewhere?

Do you lose any functionality by doing this rather than having it built into
the K2?

Can you build it into the same enclosure as a KAT100-2?

It would seem to be nice to have a KAT2 in a K2 for QRP but have the
KAT100-2/KPA100 in a base station chassis. Is that possible?

Jim,

My KPA100 is the mounted as the top cover for my KAT100-2 in an EC2. It is
very easy to do and works well. All of the connections that would be made
between the KPA100 and the K2 are present in the KAT100, almost as though it
was designed to be configured this way.

Your K2 will need a KIO2 module, and a you will need to make a short BNC to
BNC coax cable to connect the K2 ANTENNTA output to the RF IN  on the
KPA100/KAT100-2 combination.
