Filter Placement in K3

Roy Morris-6
As long as the roofing filters are placed in bandwidth order, can filter slots be bypassed in anticipation of placing filters in the slots later?  For example:

Slot #1 Not used - reserved for FM filter
Slot #2 6Khz
Slot #3 2.7 Khz
Slot #4 Not used - reserved for future filter
Slot #5 .5Khz

Hi Roy,

Yes..this is fine.  But take care when setting the filter parameters in the
CONFIG menu.  Also, when looking down into the radio with the front facing
you, slot 1 is on the right and slot 5 is on the left.

Yes, you can skip slots.

I operated for a while with FL1 and FL5 the only slots occupied. I've since
filed FL3 and FL4. FL2 is empty.
