Flashing red Led

Richard Thorpe-2
While messing around at the back of the rig I noticed through the cutouts at the back of the P3 that there is a pulsing red light inside of the P3.  Is this normal?  Thanks.

Kinda rude to remind an OF like me that he's old enough to know where
that came from, Bob :-)

I don't see anything in my K3 but then I don't know where to look.

That was Patricia Neal who died in 2010.

Richard,
To answer your original question (which nearly NEVER happens on this list),
mine does the same and hasn't blown up.  I wouldn't worry about it as we
know two do it.

Re: Flashing red Led

Brian Broggie-2
And to actually answer the poor guy's original question,

"While messing around at the back of the rig I noticed through the
cutouts at the back of the P3 that there is a pulsing red light inside
of the P3. Is this normal? Thanks.

K6CG"

there should be TWO LED's that flash alternately back and forth.  They
are indicators that the P3 is operating normally.  To see only one lit
steady is an indication of a fault.

You may now resume the geezer jokes.
