My KAT500 sits on top of the KPA500. The manual says it's OK but I would
like to add clearance to improve air flow. Does anyone have an elegant solution to raise the KAT500 above the KPA500? 73, Kev N4TT ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
Put it on the bottom, it doesn’t generate much if any heat.

Thanks Ed and Bill. That probably should have been obvious but I have this
issue with overthinking. I put my KAT500 on the bottom because it made cable management easier. There are no coax cables hanging over the back of the KPA500 so no strain on the cables/jacks. A secondary benefit is that the KPA500 vents are unobstructed so no spacing is required.
