Freebie CAD program

James T. "Jim" Rogers, W4ATK
I need to produce a couple of "quality" schematics. Anyone know of a
"freebie" CAD program to do this.

Jim,

Try CirCAD - they offer a free demo download --

gschem under Linux/FreeBSD works great.  Not sure about windows.

Here's a reference:

Jim,

I use Eagle by Cadsoft: http://www.cadsoft.de/ and really love it! Getting
PCB's made is no problem. Just generate your Gerber files and any PCB house
will do it. I recommend AP Circuits for small quantities, they are VERY
reasonable and a 24 Hour turn around from the time they get your files until
the PCB's ship FED EX. It's like a $46.00 setup fee and most of my PCB's are
under $3.00 each, even at 2 piece quantity...http://www.apcircuits.com/

Somebody has already mentioned "gschem", but that is just one of the
"gEDA" tools.  Here's the top-level link for the whole suite:

http://www.geda.seul.org

There was an article about this in EEdesign on Monday:
