Ken,
If you plug the ProSet into the front panel, yes, the Kenwood adapter is the right one. On the K3 it can be plugged into the rear panel with no adapter. The ProSet-K2 and the ProSet-iC have electret elements and need bias turned on. The others are dynamic and need no bias. 73, Don W3FPR Ken Chandler wrote: > Hi > Saw it mentioned somewhere but is it the kenwood adaptor required for > the K3!! > > Ken..G0ORH > > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

If you want to connect it to front panel microphone connector, yes. But the
K3 also has a microphone jack on the back panel and then you don't need the Kenwood adaptor. For my Pro Set plus I use the jacks on the back and I use a Kenwood hand microphone on the front. 73, Maarten PD2R 2010/1/7 Ken Chandler <[hidden email]> > Hi > Saw it mentioned somewhere but is it the kenwood adaptor required for > the K3!! > > Ken..G0ORH > > Sent from my iPhone > > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Maarten, PD2R Member of the PI4DX contest group www.pi4dx.com Elecraft K3 nr:1849 |
