I know some of you guys are dedicated QRPers. But I thought a few might be interested in
my response to Elecraft's decision to not market the KPA1500 (I'm trying to be funny, please don't throw stuff). Good for you! I was part of a small group in the 60's that built high
power amps for HF and VHF. Lots of fun. From the pictures, your workmanship looks excellent. Good luck on the new amp. ...robert On 5/29/2013 00:22, Vic K2VCO wrote: > I know some of you guys are dedicated QRPers. I worked at Speer Carbon Company back then. We made those carbon/graphite plates for the 813's, 811's and several other tubes. We wore white gloves while handling the material. If oil from our hands got on those parts they would not survive when they heated up. 73 George/W2BPI ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
