I'm very pleased with the "Rework Eliminators". It's a fine addition to my K2. Hi Matt, Ken and I appreciate your positive review. Your favorable reaction to our kit is exactly what we had been aiming for since early May when we began to seriously consider producing this kit. We hope that many other Elecrafters will share your view and also find these boards useful. Thank you for your suggestion about the black foam. We will look into the possibility of offering an appropriately sized "storage box" and black foam cut to fit. In sufficient quantities, we may be able to offer this as an option for a reasonable price. I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Doug Shields (W4DAS) A.K.A. K2 #5000, for his craftsmanship on the final board artwork, and Mitch Easton (W2MED) for his eleventh hour support finishing up the User's Guide. Many others Elecrafters contributed to this project, each in their own way, including: Eric Jorgensen (KE6US), Bruce Bowman (NM5B), Larry Phipps (N8LP), and Tom Hammond (N0SS). 73, Gary, KI4GGX K2 #4067 Posted for Gary by Ken, WB2ART _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. "Rework Eliminator" is the name given to a series of "un-module" pc boards that are designed to be put in place of K2 modules like the ssb board (KSB2), noise blanker board (KNB) etc. thereby returning the K2 circuitry to what it would be without the module installed. This could allow for quick trouble shooting when one of the optional modules is installed - just un-plug the suspect module, plug in the appropriate "Rework Eliminator" and see if the rig works - if it does, you can be pretty sure that you have found the module that is giving you the problem. You can find the "user group" at: http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/unpcbs I hope this helps. The usual disclaimers apply to my reply to your query - I have no relationship with the producers of this product, no pecuniary interest, etc. etc. 73 -- Don N4HH K2/100 #2028 KAT100, K1 #1456 etc, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Kern" <[hidden email]> To: "'Ken Kaplan'" <[hidden email]> Cc: "'Elecraft'" <[hidden email]> Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 9:37 AM Subject: RE: [Elecraft] "It's a fine addition to my K2." > What's a rework eliminator?? > > James Kern > Network Administrator > Kurt S.
