Does anyone make a simple flip down bail (wire stand support) for the K1
as is available for the K2 ? I'm continually tilting the K1 back using a book or similar to position the front panel for easier viewing. 1.25 to 1.5" tilt should work. Doug,
None that I know of. If you have a bandsaw (or know someone who has one), I would cut a wedge from a 2x4 that is as long as the K1 is deep. That should be a better solution than a book. 73, Don W3FPR On 7/31/2016 11:38 AM, Doug Hensley wrote: > Does anyone make a simple flip down bail (wire stand support) for the K1 > > as is available for the K2 ? > > > I'm continually tilting the K1 back using a book or similar to position the > > front panel for easier viewing. 1.25 to 1.5" tilt should work. > > > TIA, > > > Doug W5JV > > K1 007xx > > > > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Message delivered to [hidden email] > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

When I owned a K1 my tilt stand was a length of 1" flat bar from Home depot bent in a U. It flipped up and just cleared the tuning knob to protect the front panel during transport.

Try LapWorks Laptop Legs. The grey ones are a perfect match. Alas, availability seems to be falling, and prices appear to be rapidly climbing -- I'm guessing they aren't being made anymore... - kb7psg On Sun, 31 Jul 2016, Doug Hensley wrote: > Does anyone make a simple flip down bail (wire stand support) for the K1 > > as is available for the K2 ? > > > I'm continually tilting the K1 back using a book or similar to position the > > front panel for easier viewing. 1.25 to 1.5" tilt should work. > > > TIA, > > > Doug W5JV > > K1 007xx > > > > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Message delivered to [hidden email] > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
