I did not see any threads on this issue, so here goes.
I added the K144XV to my K3 several years ago. I don't think I have ever used it aside maybe from an FM contact to check it out.
My new 23cM transverter has a 144MHz IF so I will now be suing the K144XV.
While setting up the 2M power out, I noticed the Bird wattmeter registering around 3W with no audio in SSB mode. Same thing in CW if I depress XMIT on the K3 with the CW key open. According to my counter the energy is around 150.4 MHz- drifting up slowly in frequency at 2.8W regardless of drive level to the transverter.
Has anyone else seen this? Did I miss an update on the 144XV?
