K144XV TX Spur

Dale Parfitt-3
I did not see any threads on this issue, so here goes.
I added the K144XV to my K3 several years ago. I don't think I have ever used it aside maybe from an FM contact to check it out.
My new 23cM transverter has a 144MHz IF so I will now be suing the K144XV.
While setting up the 2M power out, I noticed the Bird wattmeter registering around 3W with no audio in SSB mode. Same thing in CW if I depress XMIT on the K3 with the CW key open. According to my counter the energy is around 150.4 MHz- drifting up  slowly in frequency  at 2.8W regardless of drive level to the transverter.
Has anyone else seen this? Did I miss an update on the 144XV?

Dale - had a similar problem here - noticed power coming out when transmit module not transmitting..ie on SSB while not speaking.... about 2 watts vs 8 when driven..
found the area around the pin diodes was hot with RF.... the module was replaced PDQ...

Ran the ARRL VHF SS this weekend and noticed on loud locals that they had 2 signals on the band....
hmmm...
I have also had a number of problems with the REFLOCK board with spurs at +- 18.1 KHz this weekend and back in 2011 spurs every 18 Khz up and down...

Running 100 watts on 2 m my buddies 20 miles away said my main signal was 60 over and the first spur was S5...

I pulled the REFLOCK board and it seems to have been corrected.. but it does look like there are a lot of spurs coming off the LO of the 2 m module...ie 116 and 118 Mhz LO's...

I've had great support from Elecraft on this all...sure hope a solution comes up...
