K2 Part Substitution

Matt Osborn
I'm assembling my new K2 (#4978) control board and have found a
substitute part for U1.  Instead of the NE602 or the SA602, my kit has
the SA612.

The SA612 appears to be a slightly lower performance part than the
SA602, but appears to be fully compatible.

Am I correct in my assumption?

Matt,

These are functionally identical in this application. We've used both
interchangeably for years.

Matt, As I know they SA612 has the same performance of NE602. I have
used the SA612 in some mounts with no difference.

You can compare their characteristics and will see. My KX-1 kit also
comes with the SA612.

Thanks, Wayne.

The control board is completed, my eyes (ain't what they use to be)
are shot, all resistance checks passed and K2 #4978 is underway.

Thanks all for the help. My apologies Frank, instead of replying to
this list, I replied directly to you (wasn't thinking).

BTW, how *does* one respond to this list and maintain the thread
order?
