K2 SSB menu question...

Steve Banks
Hello Everyone,

This may be a pretty elementary question, but I'll ask it anyway.

Am I correct in concluding that the SSBa and SSBc menus CANNOT be edited without the KSB2 accessory in place on the K2 RF board? (All I see are -- entries in both menus when I try to edit them.)

This morning I connected a Heil - Elecraft MH2 mic after installing all 8 RF board header pins and the requisite 5.6K resistor on Pins 1-6 of the K2 mic jack and was surprised to discover that the PTT function works fine, but there seems to be no way to turn on any SSBa or SSBc menu choices.

Comments?

Steve,

I believe these are both configuring parameters of the KSB2 board (audio level
and compression level). So you can't change them without that. Sounds like you
are trying to use SSB without the KSB2??

Steve:
PTT is the same as the dit line for CW, so that works because all you
are doing is closing the dit line with your mic PTT switch.
