I should be receiving the KPA100 today for my K2. I started thinking about
what I'm going to do, kit wise, after installing it? I've got all of the options that I want now and I don't want to build a K1 or any of the smaller kits. The K3 looks appealing but, it's not a kit in the same sense as the K2 is with having to solder components. It sure would be nice if Elecraft had another HF kit that is somewhere between a K2 and K3 or maybe a kit that is more for home station use than portable. Gary, I had the same thought when I finished the K2 with all I wanted. Just before the K3 was announced, I was going to buy another K2 and put it together. Then the K3 hit and I just did not have the dollars to do both. So, I opted for the k3. It is like this....what are you going to do for an encore when the K2 and the K3 have set a standard? >It is like this....what are you going to do for an encore when the K2 and
the K3 have set a standard? How about a K4 that has no other knobs anywhere near the tuning knob? That has a built-in real-time band scope... That has the option of a built-in AC power supply... -- +----------------------------------------------+ | Bob Schreibmaier K3PH | E-mail: [hidden email] | | Kresgeville, PA 18333 | http://www.dxis.org | +----------------------------------------------+ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I had the same thought.
I just kept adding "stuff" to my K2/100. Fixed Audio output mod/board Clifton Labs Z10000 IF Buffer Amp board. Telepost LP-PAN and EMU-0202 sound card for Pan adapter display on my computer. Last kid, last year in college (the good lord willing and the creek don't rise), I see a K3 in the future. Gary D Krause wrote: > I should be receiving the KPA100 today for my K2. "It is like this....what are you going to do for an encore when the K2 and
the K3 have set a standard?" I don't know about you, but I would like to build an Elecraft color TV or Elecraft electronic organ. I know the feeling......kit withdrawal is serious!!
