My K2 (5296) and I and other various radios, will be setup at Manatoc
Reservation in Akron Ohio. The event is a Moecomdws district Fall Camporee. Pre-registration indicates that 275 scouts and 40 Webelos are coming. So, when tuning around Saturday and you hear a young voice under the call K2BSA/8 have a Qso and make his day he will probably be working on Radio Merit Badge. IF YOU do QSO and want to QSL, send it to WD8AJG not to the Boy Scouts. The times are from 6pm(EDT) fri. till about 12 noon Sunday sleeping and eating times excluded. I was planning to use the jamboree (JOTA) freqs as a starting point. There appear to be three contest/QSO parties this weekend. SSB and FM will be the modes. Digital was planned but I could not get the interface to work in time. Well, OK, what are the JOTA freqs? At least that would be a start.

3940, 7270, 14290, 21360, 28390 are the SSB suggested frequencies.
Most of the time will be spent on 80, 40, 20. I will check 15 and 10 for openings throughout the day. Last time I was at camp with a radio there was a nice opening on 10. Akron OH to Phoenix on about 1 watt SSB. Just a heads up: 14.290 and 21.360 are the OMISS Net
frequencies. The 20M net starts at 1830Z Mon-Sat and the 15M net starts at 1700Z Sat-Sun. The Net control usually starts taking a check in list about 30min before the scheduled net start time. 73, Mike WA3KYY K2/100 #2221 At 01:39 PM 9/25/2006, you wrote: >3940, 7270, 14290, 21360, 28390 are the SSB suggested frequencies. >Most of the time will be spent on 80, 40, 20.
