My APF in 4.22 tunes in 10Hz steps ... .50, .51, .52 ... I thought it
was supposed to be 5Hz steps ... .500, .505, .510 ... that's what the release notes say [I think]. When I ask these questions, it almost always turns out to be a technical difficulty in my mind, feel free to point that out, I'm used to it. 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2011 Cal QSO Party 1-2 Oct 2011 - www.cqp.org ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
I tunes in 5 Hz steps, display resolution is limited to 10 Hz. For
example, tune to your PITCH frequency and note the * that appear. Now move the APF up slightly, the asterisk will disappear but the display will remain the same. One more "click" and it'll show the next 10 Hz step. 73, Lyle KK7P > My APF in 4.22 tunes in 10Hz steps ... .50, .51, .52 ... Fred,
It's really tuning in 5-Hz steps, but only displaying the 10-Hz increments. This is consistent with the other filter parameter displays. 73, Wayne N6KR On Nov 17, 2010, at 3:15 PM, Fred Jensen wrote: > My APF in 4.22 tunes in 10Hz steps ... .50, .51, .52 ... Thank you both. I did notice that the asterisk didn't always appear
when I was on my pitch freq, somehow just blew right past that tidbit of evidence. Oh well, APF works really great for me. 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2011 Cal QSO Party 1-2 Oct 2011 - www.cqp.org On 11/17/2010 3:23 PM, Lyle Johnson wrote: > I tunes in 5 Hz steps, display resolution is limited to 10 Hz.
