David, W4SMT,
Thanks for that wonderful S-meter application! I finally had an opportunity to install and run it today, and I think it is absolutely fantastic! Thanks very much for sharing it with us. While I know it is kinda whimsical, as an old boat anchor guy, and a published admirer of the IC-7800 virtual analog S-meter, I do enjoy having your meter on my PC, why not! BTW, I'm running it with LP-Bridge (www.telepostinc.com) along with LP-PAN and up to three other aps, so it doesn't add much to the overhead and is a very nice touch. This is a great group with folk sharing their ideas and their accomplishments -- great to be a K3er! Regards, Joel Joel R. Whimsical is a good description. But yeah, why not?
You might want to get the most current version. A couple of folks reported that the meter was off by 2-3 S-units. I think I've fixed that problem. I've also added some anti-aliasing to the needle drawing routine in Windows. It's not so "jagged" now. Now it looks almost as good on Windows as it does on the Mac... Almost. :) Tnx, Joel.
