K3 Beta Question

Don Rasmussen
Suppose the K3 is set to any frequency, 2.8 khz USB
and there is an S9 carrier at that frequency.

You press the auto notch.

Does the S-Meter still register S9?

You turn off the auto-notch and remove the carrier
with the manual notch.

Does the S-Meter still register S9?

Anyone?

This was asked a while ago.  IIRC you will be able to select which you
want in the menu.  Not sure if this will be available from release or
whether it is in the list to be implemented.

Owner's Manual?

W6NEK
In reply to this post by Don Rasmussen
Hi,
Does anyone know when the K3 Owner's Manual will be posted on the Elecraft
web site?
Now that I've fully digested the K3 Kit Assembly Manual, I'm anxious to see
the detailed owner's manual.

Any info, especially from Elecraft, is most welcomed,
Frank - W6NEK, K3 ??? (first batch) ;-)

An "Owner's Manual" is just what it says. You will get a copy when you
are an owner of a K3.  If it is posted on the web site it would be a
contradiction of the title.  Surely there has to some benefit in
obtaining a K3 and getting the appropriate operating manual supplied
with it.

Well, Elecraft do post their Owners/Users manuals to the web site and Wayne
9or Eric) have stated it will be there.
Ok, it's not there yet, but it will be - as are all the manual for their
products.

Re: Owner's Manual?

Chris G3SJJ
Please read -

In an effort to reduce the overload of  off topic comments hitting the list, please refrain from the urge to post minor 'me too' or 'I disagree' comments, or any criticisims or discussions on the appropriatness of a posting.  If someone complains about the shipping date, features, bagpipes etc., please resist the urge to comment or criticize them.

Personal criticisms may result in removal from the list.

Please take any arguments or criticisims of the tone or appropriateness of another's posting -off- list immediately. These comments are significantly raising the noise level.  :-)

If possible, please keep postings brief and to the point, non-argumentative,  and please resist the urge to reply to every posting.  ;-)
