Based on recent comments, it seems that I may well profit from ordering
the second receiver module for my K3. Am I correct that I should also order the same filters (400 Hz/250 Hz, 8-pole) for the sub-receiver that I have in the main receiver? Jim,
Based on my experience, if the budget allows, make the second receiver set the same as the first. 73 Don K5AQ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I think it depends on what you want to use the sub-RX for. If it's
mainly for tracking split DX pileups, I think that the stock 2.7k filter is probably quite sufficient, and fitting a full set of other filters is nuts! I can see (some) narrow filters being of value for someone who makes extensive use of diversity RX (with appropriate RX antennas) in contest-type environments (crowded bands), though... 73, ~iain / N6ML On Tue, Jul 3, 2012 at 1:08 PM, donhall161 <[hidden email]> wrote: > Jim, > > Based on my experience, if the budget allows, make the second receiver set > the same as the first. > > 73 Don K5AQ > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
