I'm curious, since the K3 can decode data modes internally, is there a way
to pass that to a computer without having to use an audio connection? 73 de James K3JPS/2 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

I probably should have been more specific. I'm aware of the terminal
functionality in the update utility. What I didn't know is whether or not it would be possible to get the same stream out to DM780 or similar program. I'll play around with it a bit more, but thanks for the replies. 73 James On Thu, May 14, 2009 at 10:24 AM, <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Yep. Sorry James. No it isn't. At the moment the stream of decoded
characters is sent mixed up with the replies to commands sent by the programs like HRD, and would probably cause the programs to crash. So what you are asking for isn't possible at the moment. Wayne has promised a command that will allow programs to get the decoded text in a controlled manner, but I don't think he has implemented it yet. 73, Julian, G4ILO G4ILO's Shack: www.g4ilo.com G4ILO's Blog: www.g4ilo.com/blog.html 2009/5/14 K3JPS <[hidden email]>: > I probably should have been more specific. Yes, the K3 Utility includes a terminal page that does exactly this.
