After upgrading to 2.02 firmware I get the error message "ERR PL1"
when I go to 12 meters in SSB mode. The message stays on the screen for a few seconds. Anybody else see this? I had the same happen to me after going to 2.02, except for me it was on
40m. Whichever direction I approached the band from it happened just as you describe. Odd thing is, without any action on my part it went away and never came back! I am wondering if I had powered the off and then on again after the firmware upload? Stephen,
I did the on/off process, but no change. 12 meters works just fine... I am talking there now! Joe:
I would suggest that you redo the CONFIG:VCO MD procedure (pg 46 of the Owner's Manual). 73, Ken K3IU Joe Word wrote: > Stephen, > > I did the on/off process, but no change. 12 meters works just fine... > I am talking there now! > > Joe N9VX > > On 6/12/08, Stephen Prior <[hidden email]> wrote: > >> I had the same happen to me after going to 2.02, except for me it was on >> 40m. This is too spooky for words. Just for fun when I saw your reply Joe I
qsy'd from 10 down to 12 and there was the error- I swear it was not there when I had the same issue with 40 before. Now, two minutes after typing the above paragraph, the problem on 12m has disappeared as mysteriously as it had on 40m. However, it does appear if I turn the K3 off and then back on again, but not as I go from 10 to 12 or from 15m! Must be time for a glass of something soothing! But as you say, the radio still seems to work. Bit of a bug somewhere I should think! I don't know about Joe, but that makes no difference for me. The appearance of the error message is still there but now only when I turn the radio on and it is already on 12m. Strange. Never mind..... 73 Stephen G4SJP On 12/06/2008 19:09, "Ken K3IU" <[hidden email]> wrote: > Joe: > I would suggest that you redo the CONFIG:VCO MD procedure (pg 46 of the > Owner's Manual). > 73, > Ken K3IU > > Joe Word wrote: >> Stephen, >> >> I did the on/off process, but no change. 12 meters works just fine... >> I am talking there now! >> >> Joe N9VX >> >> On 6/12/08, Stephen Prior <[hidden email]> wrote: >> >>> I had the same happen to me after going to 2.02, except for me it was on >>> 40m. Ken,
Did the CONFIG:VCO MD procedure, and now I do not see the error messaage. So it looks like that fixed the problem. OK... my next suggestion is that you communicate the problem to
[hidden email]. 73, Ken K3IU Stephen Prior wrote: > Ken > > I don't know about Joe, but that makes no difference for me. Joe:
Refer to the Manual, and run VCO MD as directed there. That did it for me... last night, for that matter. 73, Tom Hammond N0SS At 12:16 06/12/2008, Joe Word wrote: >After upgrading to 2.02 firmware I get the error message "ERR PL1" >when I go to 12 meters in SSB mode.
