Thanks Dick! The XP version works great here! It provides an easy way to
backup all memories to a file. I can see the potential for all sorts of applications. How about different memory files for different contests, operating modes or locations? Very nice addition. Now just waiting for my P3 to ship! Dick has done a terrific job. I had lots of irregularities in my settings. When initially setting the memories I obviously took little note of what VFO B was doing. I had strange VFO B frequencies and modes which always messed me up when I went split. Dick's program provides that much needed visual listing.
I also had inconsistencies in how I set up the band segment buttons and I was able to clean up my scan ranges which were in a state of chaos. 73, Mike K2MK |

Yes, it's very much in the works. Third in line behind the P3 Utility and updates to the K3 Utility. No promises on a release date.
No plans for an iPad version.. yet. If I could find a serial adapter for the iPad, it would definitely be on the list. :) David, W4SMT Sent from my iPad > Thank you very much - so good and a > credit to Elecraft that your producing your s/w for multiple > platforms > > I might be asking for an iPad version soon (or has Wayne > beaten me to that? :-) > 73 de M0XDF, K3 #174 > > On 5 Aug 2010, at 16:07, Dick Dievendorff wrote: > > > It's in the works. > > > > 73 de Dick, K6KR > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [hidden email] > > [mailto:[hidden email]] > On Behalf Of David Ferrington, > > M0XDF > > Sent: Thursday, August 05, 2010 1:55 AM > > To: Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ, Elecraft > > Cc: Elecraft Reflector > > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K3 Frequency Memory Editor > > > > Any chance of a OSX native version? > > 73 de M0XDF > > On 5 Aug 2010, at 01:42, Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ, > Elecraft wrote: > > > >> The K3 Frequency Memory Editor has now been > formally released. There is a USB jack in the iPad "Camera Connection Kit," but since serial ports are not USB Class compliant devices, you will need to be able to install drivers (kernel extensions). For now, the iPad would need to be jailbroken for you to install third party drivers (assuming you can even find drivers for your USB serial adapter for the iPad/ARM architecture to begin with). A Bluetooth adapter at the K3 end is an easy solution, but not a cheap one. The other is to WiFi from the iPad to a computer that is already attached to the K3 (which is also a cross platform solution). Other than those niggling details, multi-touch interfaces for a radio is definitely better than mouse driven interfaces. 73 Chen, W7AY ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
