[K3] How to read FW version

dj7mgq
Hallo,

I could not find anything in the documentation, but maybe I missed it...

How can one display which firmware versions are installed?
What is the command for an external control program?

Moin Toby,

you can find this information under  'config' 'fw revs'... with VFO-A you
can step through MCU,DSP,...

This is only available with 'for development only' commands

        RVM => MCU
        RVD => DSP1
        RVA => ?
        RVV => ?
        RVF => ?

These commmands are used during the software initialization procedure... i
like portsniffer...

For software you have to use MN to display the correct entry from the CONFIG
menu, then use DB (I think) to read the text displayed in the VFO-B area.
When finished send MN255; to get out of MN mode.

I have already implemented this and can confirm that it works OK.
