K3 Initial Configuration - THANKS AND VERY 73 TO ALL WHO TOOK THE TIME TO HELP ME!

A sincere THANK YOU to all who replied to my request for advice on a 'starter' configuration for the K3!  Your suggestions are invaluable and I am acting accordingly.  I'll be ordering my K3 this week and will let you all know when I have it up and running.

No one mentioned it, but if you already have a linear amp, you could
drive it with the 10W model to a reasonable output.  If money is a
real problem, it's a way of getting a great radio for even less money.
