When my K3 looses power, it will not switch on itself after power is back.
Is there a way to achieve this? The question is because I am thinking of an unattended use with an unreliable power source. 73! de Werner OE9FWV -- "Sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar."-- often attributed to Freud Email powered by Pegasus Mail free at <http://www.pmail.com> Homepage: <http://www.qsl.net/oe9fwv/> Fone +43 5522 75013 Fax +43 5522 22505 Mobile +43 664 63 400 14 Fax-Email Gateway +43 820 - 220262990 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Werner,
The K3 has a Remote Power ON input on the ACC connector. See the manual page 44 for how it is to be used. You might want to add a battery at the output of the power supply because of the unreliable power source which will allow an orderly shutdown of the K3 when the mains power is interrupted. 73, Don W3FPR Dr. Werner Furlan wrote: > When my K3 looses power, it will not switch on itself after power is back. > > Is there a way to achieve this? > The question is because I am thinking of an unattended use with an > unreliable power source. > > 73! de Werner OE9FWV > > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

hi Don,
thank you for the hint to the ACC connector. Well, that's easy. I only have to ground the "power on pin". And @ Ed: yes the 12V sense mod is installed. (it is not a 12V sense problem, but a real power shutoff) 73! de Werner OE9FWV |
