Yes, manual please! I would like to know if it will perform all of the functions of a SSB contest DVK (digital voice keyer). I want it to replace my MFJ-434 unit. A review of the manual would hopefully answer my questions. That way I can decide to respond positively to a shipment notification from the Elecraft sales staff. I do not look forward to installing it due to the control panel disassembly required. So, I want it to be worth my effort. 73, Henry - K4TMC K3/100 #98 -----Original Message----- From: Ian Maude <[hidden email]> To: Elecraft Reflector <[hidden email]> Sent: Wed, 3 Dec 2008 12:40 pm Subject: [Elecraft] K3 KDVR manual Any chance of getting a look at the manual guys? Have checked the K-3 manual, the KDVR manual, and experimented, and checked the Reflector, but I can't figure out how to totally errase unwanted KDVR M1-M4 voice recordings, to leave the memories blank. Tried recording over the unwanted recordings, and that works, to a point, but if the original recording takes up much of the memory, then any shorter recordings afterwards leaves traces of the original. I want to errase the whole M1 (or other Mn) recordings, and start anew. I'm sure I just overlooked something obvious. Thanks. 73 de Mark w2or.

I was wondering the same thing, how do you completely erase M1-M4 if needed?

Tried that several times, but no, unfortunately recording over the top of an unwanted memory does not work when the unwanted memory is longer. The original and longer voice memory is still there, with the newer, shorter voice memory on top of it. This is true of M1 and other Mn memories -- you can't seem to errase the longer memory. Yes, a shorter recording memory on top of the original can be heard fine, but when one plays it back, the play-back continues past the newer recording, to include the older, longer memories underneath the new. Only if the newer recording is longer than the old, will it completely errase. Try it yourself there, and see what happens.
