K3/KX3 Prog Ref App

Mike KS7D
There is an updated version of my K3/KX3 Programmer's Reference app available in the Apple App Store. There is also a new version for Android phones available in Google Play. Search for mike downs, ks7d in the Apple Store or Google Play to find the apps.

OK....

So, what does that give us over and above what the "Free" reference manual
from Elecraft gives us?

£3.20 UK is a bit steep for something that is free from the manufacturer as a
searchable PDF (that also is usable on a 'droid device.)

It's not as if you can connect the rig(s) to a 'droid and play with live codes.

Sory to be sceptic, but, the manual and a terminal emulator is all one needs to
figure such stuff out.

Regards.

Dave G0WBX.

PS: I have a simple xml file for the KX3 to use with Fldigi, should anyone
need.  (Mode, Frequency and TX/RX only at present.)  PM me if needed.

And it's optimised for the iPhone, not the iPad.

Re: K3/KX3 Prog Ref App

Dave,

The K3/Kx3 Programmer's Reference app includes several essential additions to the free Elecraft K3/KX3 Programmer's Reference Manual:

1. It includes the full text of the Elecraft K3/KX3 Programmer's Reference Manual.

2. It includes full details from the Menu Reference and Switch Emulation sections of the K3 Owner's Manual.

3. It includes full details from the Menu Reference and Switch Emulation sections of the KX3 Owner's Manual.

4. It includes the full text of all K3 Firmware Release Notes since the K3 was introduced.

5. It includes the full text of all KX3 Firmware Release Notes since the KX3 was introduced.

For the serious programmer these are essential references and they are all built in to the App. To get this information from the free Elecraft documents one would have to load each of the five documents on to their Android or iPhone, and then switch back and forth between documents. The K3/KX3 Programmer's Reference app includes all this information in one easy to use app.

Thanks for asking.
