To All,
Yesterday I installed version 2.43 beta firmware. I
tested the noise gate feature with another local ham and it worked very
well.
My shack is rather quiet shack, but I have an
old wall clock that emits a ticking sound. When I turned on the noise gate the
sound was gone in my transmitting audio but there was no ill effect on my voice
quality output.
Way to go Elecraft!

Hello All,
Has anyone experienced the following;
ERR TXF message - when transmitting on FM and
AM modes. When you key up the message appears, and as long as you hold the
key down, you can transmit. But after releasing the key, it will not
transmit again in the mode. You can reset the radio by moving to a
different mode.
Is it possible in my inital setup I
missed turning on a parameter? I have looked in the menu, but I do
not see where I made a mistake.
Thanks,
Roy - WK4Y

> ERR TXF message - when transmitting on FM and AM modes...
You must use the 6.0 kHz roofing filter for AM transmit, and the 13.0 kHz roofing filter for FM transmit. 73, Lyle KK7P _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > ERR TXF message Incorrect transmit filter setting. Unless you have the FM filter installed as FL 1, configured for 13 KHz and selected for FM transmit, you cannot transmit FM. Unless you have the 6 KHz (AM filter) installed, properly configured as 6 KHz, and selected for AM transmit, you can not transmit on AM. > -----Original Message----- > From: [hidden email] > [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Roy Davis > Sent: Sunday, October 12, 2008 1:50 PM > To: Elecraft > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K3 Noise Gate > > > Hello All, > > Has anyone experienced the following; > > ERR TXF message - when transmitting on FM and AM modes. > When you key up the message appears, and as long as you hold > the key down, you can transmit.
