Wayne,
In response to a recent question about the K3's rx sensitivity on 10M, you mentioned the "PR10" preamp. New product? Or the result of sleep deprivation? 73, Bruce, N1RX ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Apparently, even though we've shipped a couple of these with excellent
results, I jumped the gun on the announcement. Sorry about that. It'll be on the order page soon. Could be old age. 55 tomorrow. Wayne,
You are just a "youngster". but you are not counting right. Last February, I celebrated being 32 (32nd anniversary of my 40th birthday) - Life begins at 40 - right? Remember, "old" is a state of mind and has little to do with chronological age. I have seen people who were old at 45 just because they thought themselves old. 73, Don W3FPPR On 10/1/2012 8:03 PM, Wayne Burdick wrote: > Matt Zilmer wrote: > >> Welcome to the 55 club, om. > I'm not really worried, Matt, but thanks for your concern. > > On a related sour note, I hear that 60 is the new 40, 80 is the new > 60, and Dead is the new 80. > > Wayne > N6KR > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Golly Wayne, you're two years older than my fiance. She's a big live music fan and we go to a lot of concerts and hit a lot of dives listening to late night blues. Sometimes she has a hard time keeping up with me, as well on the hiking trails.
Old age is a state of mind. BTW, I also have a birthday later in the month. I'll be 71 :-) Wes Matt Zilmer wrote: > Welcome to the 55 club, om. Drop by my place for some live entertainment next time you and your Fiancée are in the Bay Area. I play a few home- grown blues tunes. We might be able to convince my 8-year-old son to join in on harmonica. (Cookies work pretty well.) Wait till it cools down, though. It was 100F in some places around here today. My mind keeps telling me that I'm still in my 20's and 30's it's the body
that reminds me otherwise or lack thereof I should say. My mind tells me to do many things still and projects I would love to complete or old hobbies, it is the Body that refuses and keeps me in check. RE CHECKING it may be love that my mind wants but the body refuses. These posts are great. I am 45 and can still rip on a snowboard better than most twenty year olds. I do need ibuprofen after a tough day on cornice at mammoth though. My dad is 72 and he and his wife are competitive beach bop swing dancers. Attitude, lifestyle and genes seem to be key components to this multi-variate equation.
