Dear Elecrafters,
Is it possible to increase the speed of the the PWR knob ? To move from low to high power and vice versa on my K3 #3616 is quite long. Thanks for ur advises. Phillipe,
You can set power ber band and you can lock that in also. (TAP 1) I have not read that we can vary the speed of the Power Knob Control though. In my case I would have that 'feature' turned off as I prefer the per band setting and find I very rarely vary the power out range. Phillippe A65BI asked:
> Is it possible to increase the speed of the the PWR knob ? I believe that the answer is no. However, you can instead define a few simple macros like pc000; pc070; pc005; pc100; and assign each to a front-panel key. I think that the K3 Utility is the easiest way to set up macros (see its Help file). Of course, you can choose your own favorite power levels. In my case, I assigned the first above macro to M3 tap, the second to M3 hold, the third to M4 tap and the last to M4 hold. Then I can select any of the four powers with a single key tap (or hold). Tweaks to nearby power levels could then be accomplished via a small turn of the power knob. Unfortunately, keys assigned to macros can't also be used for CW or voice memories. So there are limitations to this approach. 73, Paul W8TM ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
