Hi to all...
The other evening, VK0KEV was on 15 phone, 21.314 to be exact, at about 9 pm local time in Michigan. I tuned the K3 to his frequency and could tell he was there but not good enough to copy if he came back to my call. I switched to my FT-1000MP Mark V and not only could I tell he was there but he I could have copied my call if in fact he would have come back to me. I switched back and forth between the two rigs for quite some time and the K3 was always marginal copy. I've noticed this on 10 meters before too. Am I the only one with this? Thanks Larry, KN8N ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

As I recall, the MP defaults to that setting. And, of course, you will want to narrow up the IF to something like 2kHz. 73, Jim K9YC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
