K3: SN56 qrv, but.....

DOUGLAS ZWIEBEL
Maybe I'm behind in my emails, but last I saw (I think), #37 was
received.  How'd we get to 56?  Where are all of the "missing" SN?

Just curious.

There are a few more since then listed at
http://www.zerobeat.net/mediawiki/index.php/K3_Serial_Numbers but I
guess a lot of those who ordered early were not reflector subscribers.

Did  you note the K2 #?  The first two digits of that were... Vanity
number? Perhaps, that explains it all.

I think it's possible, if not likely, that we will find many K3 owners
who don't want to give us a tracking number play by play. AFAIK, nobody
is required to post the arrival date and serial number of the latest
goodness from Aptos.

Yep...no one is required to share the information...and there would less of a
mystery if the information available about shipping etc. was readily available.

Of course alternative is to simply stop wondering about delays and
sit in the dark
and let the spores mature...

I fully understand the reason why Electraft doesn't want to share this
kind of info. Nobody knows, as an example, how many FT2000 or 9000 have
been sold, i guess. These numbers, market shares and market volume, are
sensible informations

I see no reason why Electraft accounting & customer service offices
should be transparent to the concurrence.

Perhaps you're right...but after being told at least 3 times that my
unit would ship in "about" 2 weeks, and having much more than two
weeks between status reports, I think it's reasonable to expect more
accurate estimations and/or explanations.

Do they need to be made in public?  Who can say....one post that's
informative might eliminate many emails.

Of course if the subject matter is offensive or declared off topic,
those that have an interest in the delivery status can share information at
http://www.zerobeat.net/smf/

FWIW, K3 #000042 arrived in North Haven, CT on Wed Nov 14.  It is currently
undergoing test and alignment.
It looks so pretty sitting on the table.....

ok  ok   44 is alive and well, in Chicagoland,,,,

still qrp....maybe KPA today..
1 Q was  3DA0TM
2  Q  pj2/k8nd

took my time,  breaking even to listen to my wife play the piano...
she knew i was working on the k3 and was impressed,,,,,(duh)

7-9 hours sounds right....all the stuff went together as it was supposed to..

Awfully quite...quiet ... the filters are really as neat as the
hype.....as they travel from one to another.

Using a shure 414b hand mic... doesn't even need the bias on !!
great audio reports....

maybe today the KPA  ....
and time to do measurements for the Pelican....
certainly the K3 requires the best,.( so did the k2 )

pictures to folllow  later after i get the kpa done...
