I use M1-M3 as quick memories to get to the CW, SSB and RTTY parts of the bands, including the mode change. Every now and then, instead of pressing M>V Mx to move freq/mode, I'll hit V>M by mistake. Then, I have to reprogram the button.
Is there any way to enable an "Are you sure?" or similar prompt when overwriting a freq/mode with V>M? Tnx, Barry W2UP |

Now on the wish-list. Unfortunately the list is long, and I have only ten fingers :(

It's been a long time since this has come up, but I'll repeat my low-tech solution: I cut
out a red sticker and pasted it over the V>M button. This creates a psychological barrier to pressing it! Really, it works. I make that mistake occasionally myself, but give myself a dope slap, re-program the button and promise to pay more attention in the future.
