K3 Split Rtty ops?

CX7TT
Today, PZ5TT was on 17 RTTY working split...I set up to accomodate 3 up
but when trying to send with my paddle, it would not key the rig nor
transmit.  My 'workaround' was to use the A/B switch and work my timing
so he would see my 'print'....have I missed something? When using VFO B,
I cant use the paddle to send RTTY? I have also found that after
finishing keying with the paddle, the diddle continues for about 3 sec
unless I tap XMIT to immediately stop...

Split FSK-D from the paddles is a bug that Wayne has on the list to fix.

The diddle prior to crossing over to RX is 4 seconds.  If using your paddle you
send IM as a prosign just like you would send SK it will stop TX.  Also, if you
save CW messages and end them with the IM prosign they will not send the prosign in
CW but it will switch to RX at the end without the 4 second delay.

This was fixed in MCU 2.60.  Here is an excerpt from the release notes
document:

MCU 2.60 / DSP 1.94, 10-29-2008

* SPLIT operation is now allowed in FSK-D, PSK-D, and CW-in-SSB modes.

That's not in the public code line and does not work with the
public beta (MCU 2.67 / DSP 1.96, 1118-2008).

The notes in the public beta under 2.63/1.95 indicate

* SPLIT COMBINATIONS AVAILABLE: Cross-mode SPLIT operation is possible
with any combination of CW and SSB for VFO A and B. Same-mode SPLIT is
possible in all modes except PSK-D.

I just tested this in  my current development code, MCU 2.70, DSP 1.98
and verified FSK-D works in split while PSK-D does not, confirming this
note.

Often field test code releases get rolled up into public beta releases,
so the 2.60 features, while not listed separately, are included (unless
the feature doesn't work, of course :-)

There goes my darn memory again!!  I thought this was fixed but for some
reason I thought I tried it some time ago and it was not working.  Must have
been before 2.60.

Sorry for the confusion!

Well, CW in Voice does not work with both VFOs in SSB and
split selected for me in 2.67.  That's what I was using to
check Ed's report.  I have never been able to make "CW in
Voice" work when split.
