Apologies,I'm sure this has already been dealt with before.
When operating split, sometimes VFO B will track VFO A, sometimes it doesn't. For example I change to from VFO B to A, QSY a little and find VFO B has also changed, ie its kept the same spacing between VFO's. This is very irritating and it doesn't seem to do it on all bands. Can anyone enlighten me as the the setting I've so far missed? Hi Iain, Glad that someone else knows how to spell the name properly ;) See the section "Using the Sub Receiver" around page 37 of the K3 Owner's Manual: "Holding SUB links the VFOs (whether the sub receiver is on or off). The kHz decimal point of VFO B flashes as a reminder. VFO A is the master, moving both VFOs in tandem." 73, ~iain / N6ML ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Iain,
This is because the VFOs are "linked" You link/unlink the VFOs with a long hold of the SUB button. The setting is "per band", so you can have it on one band and not on another. 73, Don W3FPR On 9/21/2011 5:55 PM, Iain wrote: > Apologies,I'm sure this has already been dealt with before. > > When operating split, sometimes VFO B will track VFO A, sometimes it > doesn't. > > For example I change to from VFO B to A, QSY a little and find VFO B has > also changed, ie its kept the same spacing between VFO's. > > This is very irritating and it doesn't seem to do it on all bands. > > Can anyone enlighten me as the the setting I've so far missed? > > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Many thanks guys.
I hadn't read that part of the manual as I don't have a sub receiver. Silly me. Iain.
