Hi all,
Is the "Method 3" for the 1ppm TCXO calibration in the owner's manual still unsupported in the current K3 firmware? I ordered the 1ppm TCXO option with my K3 yesterday and am just curious if this has been implemented yet? I looked through the errata and through some of the FW release notes and didn't find any mention of it being supported yet. Just curious, it's no big deal, just wondering if I should bother with it during my upcoming K3 build. Sounds like you still get close to .5 ppm stability anyway? Tnx es 73, LS W5QD |
still unsupported as far as I know :-(
I'm still waiting for it, because I think it will get me more accuracy than a zero beat and I don't that the equipment to do it the other way! 73 de M0XDF -- i don't do caps, i'm a unix man! david ferrington, 1953 - On 21 Mar 2010, at 14:11, lstavenhagen wrote: > > Hi all, > > Is the "Method 3" for the 1ppm TCXO calibration in the owner's manual still > unsupported in the current K3 firmware? As I recall, I setup the temperature data months ago using the
K3-Utility program. It's not in front of me at the moment, but I think it can be found on one of the tabs. Alan Alan D. I just checked my K3-Utility program.
Yes, the TCXO cal data IS there. Click "Calibration" tab, then see button "Enter TCXO data." You'll need your temp/freq calibration chart that came with your TCXO. Alan Alan D. It's in the K3 Utility program, but not implemented in the K3
firmware... It's "on the list" and is mentioned in the K3 Errata. 73 Dave, G4AON K3/100 #80 -------------------------- As I recall, I setup the temperature data months ago using the K3-Utility program. You can -enter- the TCXO data into the K3Utility. The K3 doesn't -do
anything- with that data yet. The temp correction portion of the K3 firmware is still "pending". -Bruce N1RX ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
If you are my age, be sure to put the numbers in there before you lose
track of that little slip of paper. : >) Then when the firmware to use it shows up, it will just turn on without further ado. 73, Guy.
