K3 TX challenge

Jim Cundiff
Hey All,
I could use a little direction here please!
I had a bad mike from the factory, an MH2 ordered with radio. After
working with Scott @ Elecraft, he sent me a replacement. I had nothing
out of the first mike.

Second mike plugged in and radio placed in test mode.
Successfully went thru procedure to set up mike, ALC and CMP levels
using the speaker and not headphones.

Here is where things went sideways. After exiting test mode (TX arrow
not blinking), I was able to make a good QSO to S. Carolina (5/7) BUT my
own TX is coming out of my speaker just like when in test mode! RX audio
is blocked and I hear me. I am sure something I did is causing this. Any
ideas on what is going on? Thanks for any help. 73.

In His service,
Jim Cundiff KB3GFC

Normal behavior - monitor setting is independent of TEST mode. If you
don't want to monitor your own voice, turn MONITOR down.

TEST mode simply ensures no RF goes out.

The transmit audio level is controlled by MON.  It is independent of TEST.
