I am attempting to download the K3 Utility for the first time. I am
operating Windows XP on an HP machine. I have connected to one of the USB ports on the front of the box and now to one of the ports on the rear of the box. The Utility is stalled at the "attempting to communicate" step. Please advise. If your USB-serial adapter says it's on COM3 then set your utility to COM3, and so forth. I don't have one plugged in so couldn't tell you where to check to see what it's reporting, maybe device manager. Good luck. 73, Dennis NJ6G ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I'll guess that you haven't chosen the COM port that is connected to your
K3. See K3 Utility Help, Troubleshooting, "Finding the right COM port" or a title pretty close to that. 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of [hidden email] Sent: Tuesday, January 31, 2012 11:13 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] K3 Utility I am attempting to download the K3 Utility for the first time.
