Now that Santa has a P3 on his sleigh I'm looking to clean up the little
bits of operating debris I've been creating to operate various functions. I'm looking for a nice box that would complement the K-line look. I don't need it as big as a P3 but I want something bigger than the usual Radio Shack plastic things so that I can put in my current switches and circuitry and add little bits of new things as they come along. Suggestions welcome. 73 jim ab3cv ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
I got couple of quick responses of Tentec. Any idea which of the black and
charcoal color choices come closest to K3? I'd go with black over charcoal.

Amazon vends a very wide variety of aluminum enclosures of all sizes.
Some are for the Euro boards. There is a company in Ithaca NY, "Lansing Enclosures," that vends a wide variety of very attractive metal enclosures of all sizes. These seem to be mild steel, and are therefore a bit harder to work than the aluminum sort. You could buy or scrounge some chassis that is "close" and then purchase
a spare P3 side panel from Elecraft and cut it down to fabricate a new front panel with a perfect paint match. (Probably should check with Elecraft first to make sure spare panels are available.)
