I would like to see a remote keypad for direct frequency entry and
memory/mode management. The keypad on the rig is OK - but, it is a reach away. A remote keypad would right under your fingers - wherever on your desk you placed it. Could be plugged into the RS232 port. Actually, I am surprised no one has designed a third party keypad for the K3. Good idea, but why not Bluetooth? Might as well dream big.
Besides, for something called "wireless" we sure have a lot of wires..... Probably because a lot of users already have a conveniently located keypad / keyboard that they use with their PC or Mac logging program....

Sunspot button or a poor/medium/super Propagation Button for all bands all modes. Lee - K0WA In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. Is Common Sense divine? Common Sense is the image of the Creator expressing revealed truth in my mind. - John W. Actually if you have the P3 and P3SVGA you can do most of this now with a
regular wired or wireless USB based Keyboard. The P3-SVGA option includes a USB keyboard input and adds display windows for data and CW keyboard transmit and receive. In addition any or all of the keys on the key board can be programmed with K3 macro commands to do exactly what you wish. They also can be programmed as CW/Data memories for brag files, calling CQ etc on the K3. 73, Eric elecraft.com On 8/21/2013 11:37 AM, Bill wrote: > I would like to see a remote keypad for direct frequency entry and memory/mode > management.
