Hi folks;
I am having a problem getting digital modes going using a RigExpert with my K3. I know I have everything hooked up right, as RX is fine, TX happens, but no power out. I know the audio is coming to line in as I can hear it with the monitor turned up all the way. What seems to be the problem is too low a sensitivity on the K3 input side (MIC gain all the way up in digital mode), as the RigExpert works fine with my TS-480 and my IC-7800; I only see this on my K3. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and 73 de Dave, W5SV ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Be sure the Windows Audio Mixer (or whatever it might be called in whatever version of Windows you might be using, or the equivalent if a different OS) is set to maximum for the CODEC in the RigExpert. In addition, you may have to turn the TX Level control to max. At least, this is what I have to do with my Rig Expert to get enough Tx audio in digital modes. 73, Lyle KK7P ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Dave,
Which RigExpert do you have and how do you have it hooked to the K3. If you are connecting to LINE IN, that input requires a higher input level than the microphone input, and you will have to turn the output knob on the RigExpert almost all the way up. 73, Don W3FPR David F. Don,
Thanks for the suggestion, the rear mic input had the needed sensitivity; works great now. 73 de Dave, W5SV On 7/2/10 1:36 PM, Don Wilhelm wrote: > Dave, > > Which RigExpert do you have and how do you have it hooked to the K3. > If you are connecting to LINE IN, that input requires a higher input > level than the microphone input, and you will have to turn the output > knob on the RigExpert almost all the way up. > > 73, > Don W3FPR > > David F.
