K3 audio line in/out cables

Can you do FSK with only a USB connection between your computer and K3?

You cannot do FSK only AFSK

No.  A FSK/PTT keying interface is needed between PC and K3 ACC connector.

That is what I thought. I am using an interface however some of these posts
lead me to believe that it was not necessary.

Well, as Rich replied, AFSK, and other digital audio modes, can be done with only the USB cable.  Sometimes people use the terms FSK and AFSK non-specifically to mean "RTTY".
