Hi All: 80 meters always right where it is supposed to be. Suddenly, I
can't seem to find it anymore. This is what I get going down the band from 40: 60 m, then 0.500, then 52.000, (6m) then ten 10 m. My k3 is a 100 factory installed. I can't recall doing anything to cause this, but likely I did. Can anyone straighten me out? Is it possible that you entered 52 manually while in the 80m slot, instead of 3.52? I've done that before. Bill,
Apparently you have 160 meters mapped out *and* you either dialed down to 500 kHz or did a direct frequency entry to .500 kHz while you were on 80 meters. A direct frequency entry to somewhere in the 80 meter band will set it straight. 73, Don W3FPR bill wade wrote: > Hi All: 80 meters always right where it is supposed to be. Hi Bill,
This has happened to me a few times (but with 40m). Check CONFIG:BND MAP and make sure 3.5 is set to "In". I don't know why, but sometimes it seems to change all by itself. 73 -- Joe KB8AP On Apr 13, 2009, at 11:59 AM, bill wade wrote: > Hi All: 80 meters always right where it is supposed to be. Hi: Thanks for all the suggestions, but nothing seems to work. A direct
entry of 3.5 doesn't have any effect. The BND MAP in config shows 1.8 IN, but all I can do is change IN to OUT and vice versa for 1.8. Strangely, although config shows 1.8 IN, toggling the band switch doesn't show 1.8. All I keep getting are the numbers mentioned in my previous email. Spooky! Any more ideas or suggestions? Bill
Try going to that .5 band and manuall tuning up freq. until you get to your spot on 80m. Use the coarse tuning. This almost has to work. Once you get there, shift through the bands and see if 80 isn't still there. Bil,
I'm going to send you my lab phone number in the next email. Call me and I'll step you through it. If we can fix it over the phone, I'll help you with an EEINIT. 73, Wayne N6KR On Apr 13, 2009, at 3:11 PM, bill wade wrote: > Hi: Thanks for all the suggestions, but nothing seems to work.
