K3 occasionally stuck in transmit with N1MM

Ignacy
When contesting CW, I set N1MM for software PTT. This works very well but about every hr the radio is stuck in transmit. Hitting the button with BAND/VOX unstucks. Any idea what it may be?
K3 is controlled by Microham StationMaster and CW is by CwKeyer. Would prefer keying directly but then StatioMaster does not work.

*DON'T USE SOFTWARE PTT* with any microHAM Interface.  ALWAYS use
hardware PTT from a keyer, the logging program or VOX (semi break-in)
from the rig.   There are several models of transceiver known to get
stuck in transmit when mixing software (command) PTT and hardware
PTT.

I have two K3's and used software PTT for years with Writelog and
N1MM  with no problem.  Then, I think something changed in N1MM,
and software PTT hung up more and more frequently.  You can
usually get PTT to drop by sending another message, but by that
time, the qso is pretty messed up.  I'm not using Microham gear.

I switched to hardware PTT (LPT) a few contests ago, and there
have been no further problems.
